Product Planning and Research Data Analyst

This position will be full-time and located in Philadelphia.

Comcast’s Product Planning team provides research and strategy support across Xfinity’s various product lines. The team executes advanced quantitative market research projects leveraging methods such as conjoint analysis (choice model).

 

The Product Planning team is seeking a Research Data Analyst on a full-time contract basis to support its market research activities. This role provides a great opportunity for a dynamic individual to become part of a high-performing team, gain experience in a range of market research methodologies, and to support a large corporation in its multiple and varied improvement efforts.

 

The position is based at Comcast’s headquarters in downtown Philadelphia.

Job Description  

The Research Associate is a support position to Xfinity’s Product Planning Research Team, specifically in advanced quantitative research projects.

 

This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is interested in market research and consumer insights, who is eager to reveal how their findings influence the world’s largest broadcasting and cable television company.

Core Responsibilities and Tasks

  • Support market research projects through data analysis, mining, and entry, scenario simulations as well as through preparing result readouts and participating in strategy sessions.

  • Handle research-related ad-hoc requests such as survey programming, testing, and fielding as needed.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Science, Management, Statistics, Computer Science or a related field from a top university with outstanding grades

  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in data analytics and market research

  • Strong technical background with a high comfort level with new technologies

  • Excellent quantitative skills

  • Advanced Excel skills

  • Matlab, Stata, SPSS, R (advantage)

  • XML / HTML / python other programming language advantage

  • Interest in market research

  • Understanding of survey development

  • Familiarity with a survey programming tool such as SurveyMonkey, Decipher, Qualtrics, etc. (advantage)

  • Ability to learn new tools quickly

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Team player with excellent communication skills

  • Ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple projects and requests

  • Capable of working independently on projects and collaborating with a team

This position will be full-time on a contract basis and will be located at Comcast’s downtown Philadelphia headquarters.
